Dr. Mohsen studied medicine at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Starting in 1995, he specialised in the field of heart surgery in Passau, Trier and Halle and in 2007 was appointed a specialist in this field. In 2009 he became the senior physician for heart surgery at the municipal clinic in Dortmund.
Since he was increasingly interested in minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of heart diseases, he began his second specialist training as a cardiologist at the University of Essen in 2011.
